Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and hypertension are common diseases in the population and that prevalence rise with aging. Hypertension is the most frequently occurring comorbidity in COPD. Therefore, it is important to know the hypertension treatment strategies in patients with COPD. Pathophysiologic relationship between COPD and hypertension also not yet fully emerged; aging, reduction of connective tissue and increased arterial stiffness are among the possible pathophysiological causes. Although various treatment guidelines regarding the treatment of hypertension has been made no specific proposals for treatment guidelines to be used in association with COPD and hypertension. In this section, treatment of hypertension with COPD suggestions made in the light of the information obtained from the studies will be conducted.
